This happens to me. Or, worse, when I approach a line something will happen to make it suddenly go 10x slower than it was before.

This also works on the highway. I call it the "Anchor Effect," where your presence at the end of a line of previously fast-moving cars causes everyone ahead of you to slow to a crawl.

(w/v - dostenis - I don't always play sports... but when I do, I prefer Dos Tenis.
